Personally I think that a coup d'etat is simple regression: it is a step backwards. Although this government has no idea what it was supposed to do for the entire five years, I still trust that there are Burundians who can pick up where fathers of the Burundian democracy left and move on. There are democratic ways to take over power such as impeachment. The country will hang on for the next few months. The problem as I have always blogged is "intellectual abilities", most people in this government are just fighters (Don't get me wrong they did terrific to take the country from Buyoya), but that doesn't mean they are able politically. There are parts of the life of the country where they can contribute. In the old time, Socrates in his book The Republic emphasized that people who are to lead should have (some)training or exposure to political science...By the ways, there might be no university in Burundi that teaches that, but there are Burundian with at least an exposure or even a background in political science or just an experience.... We cannot miss this opportunity, electing Nkurunziza again would be comparable to Americans putting Sarah Palain to the White house. As for this drama, we have seen many of this kind...

2nd are Burundians frustrated of this government?
If one is yes, then Peter must pay attention as any time they can remove him from power!
If the gvement is not doing enough to give full freedom and help its people ,I don;'t see why the goverment should stay in power!!
I am not supporting the Putch but I believe it is time the current government to start working in i8nterest of its people.
peace be with you
