Paying a tribute to Ndadaye Melchior
For many people from Burundi, a day like October 21 exhumes very painful memories: Ndadaye and many others killed like criminals. Those who follow what has been going on in that country worry that his legacy has been overlooked by people who are supposed to safeguard it. Even they want to sell his tomb to aliens who have no idea about the fight Ndadaye started. It is as if we want to become a history-less nation!
For some, it is just another day, but I can still remember that night of the 21st: It was a nightmare in many ways...Even before opening the radio in the morning, we knew something fishy was going on in the country.
For others, it is the moment to remember family members who succombed, and rethink whether it is time to forgive and forget or forget altogether if that`s possible...
And for the judicial system in Burundi, it is time for shame, because it is one of the few tragedy without any serious judicial procedures! Did they hate Ndadaye this much? Even if they did, isn`t it again the judicial deontology to render justice only to the one you like or share political ideas?
Share with the rest of the blogging community where you where on that very day...and what it was for you the next day when you opened the radio and heard the news!
